Volunteer Work

It could have something to do with being and Eagle Scout, but James just can’t help but getting involved in volunteer work. Here are some of the projects James has been involved in.

PTE-China.org (2007)

Helped PTE China, an organization that helps promote HIV/AIDS education in China, with the basic on-page search engine optimization of their website.

Trips With a Mission - Ghana, Africa (2005)

Assisted in the completion of a children’s home outside of Accra, Ghana. Had the opportunity to visit with local villagers and visit an orphanage in Accra. Needless to say, this was a life changing experience.

Mission Ministries - Juarez, Mexico (2007)

Constructed a home (in two days!) for a family in the “kilometers”section of Juarez, Mexico. Took part in a community outreach program as well. It was truly amazing, and somewhat distressing, to see the conditions people live in just 20 miles from the United States border.

Habitat for Humanity - Aurora, Colorado (2006)

Spent a day framing the second story of a home for a needy family…in a blizzard.

Denver Rescue Mission - Denver, Colorado (2004 - 2007)

Regularly volunteer to serve food to the homeless at the Denver Rescue Mission in Denver, Colorado.
